THE ROLE
Work Location: Mooresville, NC.
Travel Required: Approximately 30-40% travel.
Level / Salary Range: Exempt.
Position Type: Regular Full Time.
Reports to position: Chief Executive Officer.

Position Purpose
The Director of Performance and Motorsports is responsible for the strategic vision, leadership and executive management of the Performance & Motorsports business located in Mooresville, NC.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks
The company has a wide range of customer specific requirements in the Performance & Motorsport division:
Effectively manage the P&M commercial and sales team within the Goodridge Americas business while maximizing opportunities, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts.
Responsible for overall business leadership of the Mooresville, NC plant working collaboratively with the Site Manager.
Carry out strategic formulation for future growth as part of the 5 year Strat Plan
Assist in budget development and maintenance and monthly Business Reviews
Maximize opportunity, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts
Provide exceptional customer service levels to gain customer confidence
Promote Goodridge products to all levels of professional and sportsman race teams
Act as brand representative onsite at performance, motorsports, enthusiast or brand awareness campaigns throughout the year (example, SEMA, PRI, etc.).
Show professionalism both internally and externally; constantly striving to improve efficiencies within the commercial and sales department.
Work with website sales and sales representative contacts to ensure opportunities are maximized
Ensure effective system, procedure, end user and internal documentation is maintained effectively
Maintain working knowledge of competitors' products and motorsports efforts.
Support a safe and secure work environment for all employees, customers and vendors; visibly demonstrate a commitment to safety by following Company safety and health policies.
Qualifications (Education | Certification | Experience)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, business or related field
10+ years of experience in a similar role within a Performance & Motorsports company.
Experience of managing customer accounts in an automotive environment.
Knowledge of Fluid Transfer systems preferred.
Effective team-oriented supervision and strong leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, able to take complex information and succinctly and effectively communicate both in verbal and written formats.
Strong financial management to include understanding of budget processes, planning, execution, accounting practices, P&L.
Analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated experience tracking core business metrics and driving decisions based on that data.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with team members in multiple locations and individuals in different departments.
Broad understanding of trade shows and publications.
Keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Strong continuous improvement background
Microsoft Office proficiency
Understands ISO Standards and importance of quality production standards
